Requirements for EAPs in Vietnam

While EAPs are normally designed for larger companies with 200+ employees. However, Employee Benefits Asia has a business Lite package, which is designed for any number of employees. We recommend having at least 20 employees

Employees can be full-time, part-time, independent contractors. They can live in Vietnam or elsewhere in Asia. For expats, it does not matter if they have a work permit or TRC yet or not.

EAP services are usually available to all employees and, in some cases, their immediate family members. Check your company’s EAP policy for specific eligibility details. All of your employees are eligible to use the service

EAPs in Vietnam are a company sponsored initiative. The employees do not pay for anything.

Your EAP package is an annually paid package. There are no payment installments or refunds if cancelled mid-year.

Unusued benefits can be rolled over to other employees who use the service more. This varies by provider but is a generally accepted practice of EAP providers.

Employees can access EAP services by calling a dedicated helpline, using an online portal, or through in-person sessions, depending on the specific EAP provider.

Some EAPs in Vietnam include in-person services, though most EAP solutions providers are digital focused. While the counseller may be in Vietnam, the service is accessed via the member’s app.
